Lounge 02 explores the dynamic contrast between the industrial aesthetic of thick, cantilevered 3/8”-thick aluminum plates and the soft, organic feeling of natural sheepskin. The design relies solely on the metal’s inherent strength and thickness for its structural integrity, which intentionally departs from the extreme thinness achieved through geometry in the BenDI lounge philosophy. Crucially, the shell’s extra thickness ensures it remains a visible, grounding element next to the fluffy sheepskin upholstery, allowing the striking industrial-organic contrast to be fully appreciated.
